The Cure confirm three festival headline slots for summer 2012

The Cure have announced three festival headline shows for this summer.

The band, who headlined Bestival event last September, have confirmed that they will be appearing at Hultsfred festival in Sweden alongside The Stone Roses as well as German festivals Southside and Hurricane.

The Cure are expected to announce a number of further festival shows in the coming weeks, but have not been strongly linked with any of the UK's major festivals thus far.

The band recently completed a run of dates, including one at London's Royal Albert Hall, which saw them performing their debut album 'Three Imaginary Boys' (1979), plus 1980's 'Seventeen Seconds' and 1981's 'Faith' in their entirety.

They also recently released a live album of their 2011 Bestival headline set in December. The 32-song, two-and-a-half-hour set was released on double CD, with all the profits from sales donated to the Isle Of Wight Youth Trust, a charitable, independent and professional organisation which offers counselling, advice, information and support services to young people aged 25 and under on the Isle of Wight

The Walking Dead Facebook Game Coming Out Next Month

AMC, Eyes Wide Games, and Rock You have teamed up to create a social based Walking Dead Facebook Game. The objective of the game is obviously enough to stay alive. You and your Facebook friends must establish a camp and defend it from Walkers. You will also be able to scavenge for resources, complete missions, and even meet characters from the T.V. Show.

Speaking about the game to G4, Eyes Wide Games CEO Stephen Griffin says that:

“AMC’s The Walking Dead Social Game is a next generation game for social networks, it’s got deep playability. It’s got drama, and it’s still approachable for the casual audience. However, if you’re a gamer and you’ve been looking for a deeper game to play and to experience on social networks then this is it.”

The Walking Dead Facebook Game is due out next month but you can get more information and be notified when the game launches by liking their Facebook page which you can do by clicking here!

Below are some screenshots of the game.

Recoil live concert film 'A Strange Hour in Budapest' - update

As we announced a while back (actually, Alan Wilder first announced it in this video interview with Side-Line), there's a live DVD of Recoil in the making. Entitled "A Strange Hour in Budapest", it was shot during the second Budapest presentation (and last of 2010) which was held in the newly-renovated Szikra venue. The show was filmed by Attila Herkó and his team for Umatik using high-definition technology in order to capture the event in its full glory.

The proposed package will feature the full concert film, running at approximately 84 minutes in HD resolution and with 5.1 & stereo audio options. Also included will be some extra promo films and live projections. The format will be limited to Blu-ray only. So if you haven't upgraded yet, now is the time to do so. The exact release date has yet to be determined.

"A Strange Hour" was presented during 2010 and 2011 in 52 cities across the world as part of the 'Selected Events' tour to celebrate 25 years of the Recoil project.
